An action thriller that follows two homicidal assassins, named Jack and Jill, as they take over a New York news television station and hold its employees hostage. A WORD FROM CHRIS Jack + Jill was the end result of a fan script I wrote back in 2006. For those of you familiar with my work, you might remember a certain Joker short I did whist in California. Well I was hell bent on making a sequel to that short, but money (like always) played a huge factor in all this. Due to my financial restrictions, I could not afford to fly back out to LA to film part 2 nor could I get my actors out here either. I was in a rut. I had a script I was dying to do but no means of making it. So I put it on the back burner. A year passed and I finally decided to tweak the story and turn the Joker and Harley characters into something more original. Thus, Jack and Jill were born. Clearly I have changed many things to differentiate Jack and Jill's personalities from that of Joker and Harley, really all that remains is the plot of the story. Two psychos take over a TV station. Apart from that, my characters thankfully diverge. The short was shot in ONE day at CTV in Staten Island. I thank my lucky stars to know the people that I do who got me this location. It was AMAZING and completely upped my production value to a level I could have never achieved anywhere else. |
